The Skalka neigborhood in the 10th district of Prague is a densely-populated area of high-rise apartment complexes, home to 22,000 people and with no other established Christian witness except for CB Skalka. Just steps from the Skalka subway station is the CB Skalka church plant, the focus of our church planting efforts since 2006, and the spiritual home of a growing community of new Czech believers.
The "North City" spans several districts of Prague and is an area in great need of a gospel witness. But, God has been answering that need in opening doors to establish new churches in this area of Prague.
Beroun is a beautiful and scenic town 20 minutes west of the capital city of Prague. The town was a Communist stronghold, and there is a big need for a Christian presence. In 2013, a group of Czechs and missionaries have moved to this city with the intent to establish a church in this Gospel needy community. We have been excited to see how God has developed our community as "make disciples."
In the center of Prague, the Network Praha church plant is developing an urban fellowship of young adults and singles. The church is uniquely structured on relational discipleship networking and boldly focuses on evanglism.
Located in the Háje neighborhood of South City, the largest apartment complex in the Czech Republic with over 86,000 inhabitants. South City reflects the Czech nation as a whole, with close to 80% of the population claiming no belief in God, and evangelical believers estimated at 0.4% of the population. But, the Lord is at work in using South City church to reach this neighborhood.
TaCesta ("The Journey" or "The Way") is committed to Prague's city center and the city itself. Our desire is to reach the young urban professionals, the culture makers, and the "least of these."
